A fully-insured health plan is the more traditional way to structure an employer-sponsored health plan. With a fully-insured health plan: The company pays a fixed premium to the insurance carrier for a year based on the number of enrolled, age, gender & location of the employees on your plan each month.
Available Insurance Carriers Include But Not Limited To The Following:
Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna & Humana
Your premiums are based upon the number of enrolled, age, gender & location of employees on your plan.
Insurance carriers do not ask any medical questions of your employees.
Your premiums are either composite or age rates for your employees.
Groups can select from a national or regional state specific network if available to use for their plan.
Minimum employee eligibility is 30 hours per week.
In most states a minimum of 2 non-related employees required to be eligible for benefits.
